Riding Snowmobiles!

One of the things that we did while Daddy was gone, was go snowmobiling with Grandpa and Grandma Krahn. Mesele had already decided that he wanted to go on Grandpa's machine because he knew that it went the fastest. And....if you know Mesele, that makes perfect sense!
Abinet had the "privilege" of riding with Mommy. I wasn't the fastest, but we didn't have any accidents, so I thought it was really fun! We tried to scare some animals out of the bushes, but in the end, we didn't see anything except animal tracks!

We still had a wonderful time and the weather was beautiful!

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for letting us go for rides on your machines! (and you're welcome grandma, for not blogging some "other pic's!")

How Old Are You, REALLY?!?

For Christmas, our family bought the Wii. We've had an absolute blast playing it! One of the things that you can do on it, is find out your "fitness age." I've done this lots and I'm thrilled if I can keep my age in the 20's. After watching Brent and I do this, the boys wanted to give it a try for the first time.......
Abinet was up first. Well, he's not the most co-ordinated little boy, but for his first try he didn't do too bad. I mean......his fitness age turned out to be 73. At least we know he should only be able to get better from here!
Now it was time for older brother to take a crack at it. (Keep in mind that he being older then his brother is a BIG deal to him.) Mesele did his three events and when all was said and done.....TA DA.....He really IS older then Abinet! He was pretty happy with that result!
What's your fitness age?

Monster Trucks!

On Sunday afternoon, Brent and I surprised the boys by taking them to the Monster Trucks. They were so excited and a little shocked that the trucks were so loud :o) They used to think that Daddy's truck was loud, but not anymore!!
The truck "Jurassic Attack" was a fovorite for them. I think they just liked the fact that is was a dinosaur. There was plenty of action for them during the show. They got to see Monster Trucks, Tough Trucks, Quad racing, and Motorbikes. I don't think it could have gotten much better for these little men!
After the show, we bought a Jurassic Attack stuffed truck and got it signed by the driver. They take turns playing with it, but is was Mesele who wanted to sleep with it when we got home that night. I'm glad they had such a good time and they didn't even complain about having to miss their nap time!
Sorry that I haven't been posting pic's that often. Life has gotten pretty busy and I'm not taking as many pictures as I used to. I'll try a little harder!

Mesele's Pictures

Mesele got a little camera for his birthday, and he loves using it! Of course we have lots of pictures of the carpet, the walls, and extreme close-ups of peoples faces, but now and again he takes some really cute pictures. All of these are pictures that he has taken himself.Today he spent the morning shoveling off the deck. He moved the little table and chairs so he could get all the snow off and he even chipped away all the ice that was on the table. Once he had it all cleaned off, he wanted to get a picture of his hard work!
I asked him why he feels like doing that all the time, and he simply replied, "To get big muscles!"

Abinet doesn't do nearly the work that Mesele does, but he is always there to smile when he sees th camera!

He also took this picture of Mommy and Daddy. After he took the picture, he looked at it on his camera and said, "Awww, that's cute!" I guess I say that a little too often when I am taking pictures of him! I'm glad he's enjoying his camera so much!!

Forts and Tunnels!

On Sunday, the whole family gathered at Grandma and Grandpa Klassen's house. We had juch together and then some of the braver souls (me NOT included) went outside to have some fun in and on the snow. Grandpa had piled up a lot of snow for the kids to slide down. Some of the bigger kids (Darren, Brent and Dad) decided to dig under the hill and make a big fort. You could actually fit quite a few people under there! Once you were in the fort, there was a tunnel off to the right. Mesele was just coming back in through that tunnel.
Although I'm not a big fan of tunnels and forts, I felt like I had to go in just to appreciate all the work the boys put in digging in the snow. It was fun for everyone young and old(er).

Jada and Mesele stayed outside for a LONG time despite the cold weather! I think they had the most fun that day :)
