Summer Fun!

What is the most important thing to do at the lake? LEARN HOW TO WATER-SKI!
It didn't take that long for Mesele to get up on skis. We put him on some starter skis and he was up and moving around very quickly. Once he had conquered that, he got up on some other skis that weren't tied together and he was doing deep water starts all by himself!
What a kid!!

Abinet got up for the first time too! He did nothing but smile just about every time he went for a ski. Despite a couple of wipe outs, he was still usually the first one to jump up and down and wave his arms around when Grandpa would ask who wanted to go for a ski.
After a little while, he didn't need his skis tied together either! In fact....this man was doing deep water starts as well! These guys sure know how to make Grandpa proud!!

And, how do you relax after a long day of skiing? ............

......lay out in the sun and catch a few zzzzz's!

The Inside of Our Home

This is our office. Hard to get a good picture of a small room, but you get the idea. I also have my piano in this room. As soon as you come in the front door, the office is to the right.
Ahhhh.....the Living Room! It's nice a cozy and I just love all the windows! Eventually there will be a fireplace and a TV in that area where the ugly TV is right now. Just try to picture it all prettied up!
The main bathroom. Not overly big but it's basically just for the boys and they don't need too much room to do their hair!
The Dining Room! Again, lots of windows and a nice view of nuttin' but mud! Oh well!
And here is the kitchen. I am looking for some barstools to put at the island, but as of yet, I haven't picked anything out. The kitchen is a nice size and the pantry really does give me a lot more room!

Okay....I've promised these pictures for awhile and now I think I am finally ready to post them. Hopefully you haven't given up on me! I'm just a little slow in getting stuff done! Sorry for the delay, but I hope that you enjoy them anyway!

One Update for Auntie Shirley

Okay.....now I know that I said I would put on pictures of the house and I REALLY wanted to, however I forgot that I left the house in an absolute disaster!! Because of that "inexcusable" excuse, I decided that I should at least give you a glimpse of the outside of the house! Make sure that you keep checking the blog because you never know when the interior pictures may appear!

A Few Glances at our House

WOW! We are building a house!!!! Hard to believe how fast things are moving along. At first we were aiming to be in for Christmas, but if things continue to move along as fast as they have been so far.....we cold be moving into the house in November!
We have had lots of fun, lots of stress, and lots of confusion! We are so grateful for all the friends and family that are helping us build our dream. We know that we never could have done it on our own! (mind you...we never did try.....)
I know these aren't very many pictures, but it's hard to put everything on a blog. If you want to see more pictures, you better come for a visit!!
**By the way, I LOVE the red siding**
(feel free to compliment it too)

Bye for Now!

Mesele's 5th Birthday Party

Okay....so I know that I haven't done this in a LONG time and apparently I don't know what I am doing because all these birthday pictures went on in the wrong order! (must be the computer!)
Well, Mesele was SO excited to be turning 5 and yet he was disappointed that he had a wait an extra day before we could have his birthday party. He wasn't sure if he was 5 on the 18th or 19th?!?
We had a great group of friends out and they all had fun in the park even though it was VERY windy out! Who can complain when you have food, cake and friends?
Yep...I made the soccer ball cake. Yep, it was a last minute thing. Yep, I'm fairly happy with it (if you look from a distance)
Thanks for coming (those of you that did) and celebrating this day with Mesele.

Just for My Dad.....

Well, I guess that my dad has been wondering what has been going on in our life because he called to make a request that I update this blog! This is for you dad....a little bit of information on what kind of trouble we have been getting into!!
TADAA!! We went to the first Rider game of the season. It was against BC and we won! It was a great trip that we did with our friends, Ray & Jill.
Not that long ago we got a NASTY storm! There was thunder, hail, and LOTS of rain! Let's just say that when you are living in a little trailer and a storm starts....you just don't feel that safe!
After the storm we went out driving with mom and dad to see what things looked like. There was flooding all over the place! This is the lot that we are going to be building on. This was the low spot on the land, and we will be building on the other corner. Overall...not too bad!

This was taken on the last night in our house. Everything was cleaned out and the boys were sleeping on the floor. They had to hug and kiss Cookie Monster good-bye. I'm sure going to miss that painting! (thanks Crystal, for all the work you put into that! I might get you to paint more soon.....)

The most exciting thing that happened, was that I got my drivers back! That's right....I'm back on the road, so you better watch out! As soon as I had my license in my hand, I was off to the city to do some shopping! T'was a very good day!
I hope that this gives you a bit of an update on our lives. I won't be doing this very often, but I'll try to put new pictures up when I can.
I love you Dad!

It's Weiner Roast Time!

Even though it wasn't HOT outside, I figured it was time to have supper around the fire. (More than anything, I just didn't want to cook!)
Daddy put weiners on the sticks and told the boys to start roasting. Abinet, as you can tell, didn't like the idea. He crinkled his little nose and I'm not sure if that's because the weiner was too heavy for him, or because the fire was too hot!

Mesele was a mean, lean, roasting machine! He's just that kind of boy. He WANTS to help do everything!!

Yep....it's time to eat!
