Gifts from Daddy!

When we all woke up on Tuesday, we wanted to know what gifts Daddy brought back for us. Actually, I was too excited, so Brent had to give me my presents when we got home on Monday cuz I just couldn't wait until the next day. (I'm worse than the kids!!)

Daddy brought the boys the cutest little soccer outfits from Mexico. Mesele and Abinet look like pro soccer players already when they wear them!

I love the fact that these two little guys are so happy when they get new clothes. They don't just want more toys, they
are happy with just about anything.

Well, if you dare to challenge these two little guys to a soccer game, I'm sure they would just love to beat ya!

Have a sun-shiny day!

Daddy's Home!

Monday night, Brent and the youth group finally came home from their missions trip in Mexico. All week long the boys would ask where daddy was, what he was doing, and when he would be home. When Monday finally came, they thought that daddy would be home first thing in the morning. It was hard for them to understand that his plane wasn't landing until almost 11:00 pm!

When they saw him walk through the gate, Abinet ran to him but Mesele was a little unsure of what to do. I think he was a little shocked that dadddy actually came home.

Now we are together as a family again!

And look......The whole time daddy was gone, I only broke one!

Have a great day everyone!!

Mesele's First Drama!

On Sunday, Mesele got to try out acting for the first time. I had to do the Children's feature for church and I needed a few actors.

Grandpa Krahn was my "Goliath" and Mesele was little "David." Even though Mesele had a broken arm, he was still able to beat this giant!

Everything went really well, and it seemed like everyone enjoyed seeing grandpa get beat by this little guy!

Mesele looked so cute as he stood over grandpa and held his sword high in the air. I was so proud of him!

Thanks to everyone who helped out. I really appreciate it!!

Maybe we will get to see Mesele act again sometime!

Our Brave Little Boy!

Well, today Mesele got his first cast. We went to the doctor around supper time, and I was so impressed with how brave this little guy is. Before we saw the doctor, he asked me if he could cry. I told him that if his "owie" hurt when the doctor was working on him he could cry. The whole time the doctor was working on him, I kept asking how he was, and he just kept telling me, "no hurt!"

He doesn't seem to be bothered by the cast at all, and he likes the fact that he can knock on the cast and it doesn't hurt him. I hope he will sleep better tonight!

Abinet doesn't seem to mind that Mesele is getting all the attention right now. He is just happy that he can still wrestle with his brother!

I love how close these two little guys are! They love eachother so much!

Anyway....that was my day. Thanks for all the phonecalls and concern you all had for Mesele. He's one tough little man, and I don't think that a broken arm is going to slow him down that much at all!!

GOODNIGHT!

Oops! I Broke One!

Well, I guess all the fun and exciting things in life will happen when I am home alone with 2 boys and Brent is livin' it up in HOT Mexico!
The other day, Mesele fell off a swing and hurt his arm. I watched the way he would still play, ride his bike, wrestle with Abinet, and I thought there is no way he would do that if his arm was broken!
Well......believe it or not, I was wrong. I took him to the doctor yesterday and his arm is actually broken in two places! Yes, I feel like a little bit of a shmuck! Right now they just have him in a splint until the swelling goes down, but we should be able to go and get a cast put on later today.
He had a tough time sleeping last night. He would cry in his sleep a lot because he couldn't get comfortable with that thing on his little arm! Hopefully, tonight will go a bit better for both of us!
Well, that's all for now! I will try harder not to break the other little guy before Brent gets home!

Oh, The Fun with Water Guns!

Seeing as it was another hot day out today, I thought I would introduce Mesele and Abinet to the wonderful world of WATER GUNS!

It didn't take them long to figure out how to suck the water up into the gun and spray it out. They had lots of fun with that.......for a little while.

THEN, mommy showed them how to spray eachother! (but they couldn't spray me because I had the camera!)

Abinet struck first as he sprayed Mesele right in the face! He giggled as he stood there and emptied his water gun in poor little Mesele's face!

Well.....revenge is sweet and Mesele got it right away! He quickly loaded up his gun and pretty much sent Abinet flying as he unloaded all the water on poor little Abinet's head!

I really enjoyed the whole thing as I snapped picture after picture and stayed completely dry!!
