Going on Two Tires!

Abinet has been anxiously awaiting the day when Daddy would finally take off his training wheels. He's asked OFTEN, and Daddy finally gave in!I must admit.....I didn't think Abinet would get the hang of it right away, and I was expecting a few falls and many tears.
However, after a little push and guidance from Daddy, he was on his way with a smile on his face and a laugh that could be heard from a LONG ways away! Yes, he did fall, run into the fence and the side of the garage.....

......but he got up right away, smiled and giggled and then took off again!
How quickley they grow up.

Just a Few Cute Pic's

On the day that we were getting family pictures taken, I decided to quickley try and get a few pictures of my own. They didn't turn out nearly as nicely as the ones that Sara did for us, but hey.....I tried!I can't believe how much they have changed this first year. They aren't little anymore!

In this picture, I told them to stare into eachother's eyes. They must of thought I meant to do some sort of staring competition because it's not the loving kind of stare that I was going for!

I just love this picture!

After a long day of picture taking, Abinet decided to ponder and reflect on his performance throughout the day. (just kidding...we all know that the only two things this boy does really well is eat and sleep!!)

Happy Easter!

Yesterday we did a little Easter egg hunt with the boys. I hid 2 baskets outside and then sent them out for the hunt. Abinet found Mesele's basket, but he just couldn't keep it a secret!
He just yelled out, "Mesele.....I found your basket!" and then he laughed and laughed!

After a bit of hunting, both boys did find their baskets and were ready to dive on in and eat all the goodies that were packed inside!
They were thankful for the candy and even shared some with Mommy and Daddy!
After enjoying a few treats, we just had to take a few more cute pictures.
Yep....they look pretty happy to me! I think the hardert part was watching Mommy put the baskets just out of their reach. Now all they can do is LOOK at the candy and apparently that isn't as much fun! Oh well, there will plenty more coming over the next couple days!

Happy Easter Everyone!

A New Hair-Do!

Yesterday I finally got to try my hand at beng a hairdresser. I ordered this "coil comb" and wanted to try it out on the boys. Now....I decided to to this after they had their bath, had their pj's on, and were ready to go to bed! I tried 2 in Mesele's hair and then 2 in Abinet's and once they saw it....I had to continue :)This is Abinet's hair from the back. I think it looks so cute!! He even sat fairly still while I did this. It only got tangled a couple times.

Mesele was very patient. He wanted this done SO badly!! I kept them up about 1 1/2 hours past their bedtime, but they didn't care!
This is the back of Mesele's hair. His was a little more difficult to do because his hair is already so tightly wound!

But together....they sure do look cute!

(I am doing this blog the day after I did their hair. When they woke up this morning, the first thing Mesele did was run to the bathroom mirror to see how his hair looked!)

...by the way......

This specific blog is for my mom. See....I finished the dumb puzzle before all the snow was gone! Now I'm sending it back to you to see if you can do it!It's also been a good start to the month because......

....BRENT DOESN'T HAVE A BEARD ANYMORE!!

Yippee!
(i know this has nothing to do with the boys, but sometimes you just have to hear other things that happen in our house too!)

Family Night Fun

Tonight we were all home, so we decided to play a good game of hockey outside on the grass. Abinet gently dropped the puck for the face off, and then the game really got rough!Daddy and Mesele battled for the puck, and every once in a while, Mesele succeded in stealing the puck off of Daddy's stick.
Mommy and Abinet worked together to score some goals too. Here we are celebrating one of our MANY goals :)

In the end....we were all winners!
.....especially these two little chocolates!

Would anyone dare to challenge the "Klassen Kings" at grass hockey?!?
