Zerbert Time!

This morning as I was working around the house, I heard some terrible "gassy" noises coming from the boys' bedroom!

Now...if you know me at all, you know that I don't have a very strong stomach. So, I was a little bit nervous to go into a room that sounded like it was filled with two VERY gassy little boys!

I slowly opened the door to their room, and I was quite surprised! There was NO gassy smell, but now I knew why I thought that.

These two cutie-patooties were taking turns giving eachother zerberts on their tummys!

It was so cute! (and I was worried for nothing!)

Playin' Soccer

Every Thursday night, Mesele goes to soccer practice. He absolutely loves it! Brent and I had a great time watching him. He doesn't understand all the instructions that are given but after he watches to see what the other kids are doing, he follows suit. That strategy worked really well until it was time to play "Red light, Green light." Mesele had no idea what it meant when someone yelled "red light" so when all the other kids stopped, he was so far ahead of the pack that he just kept on runnin'! What a cutie!!

He loves playing soccer and I'm so glad he get this opportunity!
While Mesele was practicing, Abinet entertained everyone else. He really wanted to go and play soccer with all the other kids, but instead showed off for whoever was watching. He was quite happy when daddy starting throwing him WAY up in the air! After that, all we heard from him was, "DA-DEE, up please!" How can anyone say no to that cute face and sweet voice!!
Anyway....that's all for now!!
We'll be back another day....

My First Mother's Day!

Yesterday was such a wonderful day! I was finally a mom for Mother's Day! Let me tell you all about it.........
On Friday, Brent had a beautiful bouquet of red roses delivered to the house for me. I was so shocked that I even told the delivery lady that she must have the wrong house!
On Sunday morning, we got the boys dressed in their Ethiopian clothes because Brent and I would be dedicating them in church. They looked so cute that we had to take some more pictures!
The dedication went great! The boys waved to the entire congregation and just kept on smiling
through the whole thing. I was such a proud
mom!
The rest of the day was spent with family. We took lots of pictures together, ate WAY to much, and just enjoyed being together.

I have to say that I loved my first Mother's Day and I look forward to many, many more!

Got Milk?

These little cuties love a lot of different things, but right at the top of that list would be food! When they wake up in the morning, they love to have breakfast as soon as possible!! Sometimes they will top off that meal with a glass of milk. On this particular morning, they both chugged back a cup of milk and then had the best milk moustache ever! What can I say....it was another Kodak moment!

Pure Silliness!

Everyone once in a while you just gotta have some fun taking silly pictures. The boys were a little bit hyper, so we thought we would take advantage of that and try and get some fun pictures together.

The boys love to show off their "happy face" and when you ask them to show their "sad face" it's so funny to watch! Mesele can hold that pouty face for quite a while, but Abinet can only hold it for a second and then he bursts into a big smile again.

Brent taught the boys how to do the "funny face" and they just loved that! I'm not sure how these boys can still look cute when making that face because it sure doesn't work for me!

Sometimes you just gotta be goofy!
