Splashin' in Osler Pool!

Seeing as the weather has been so beautiful lately, I thought I would take the boys to the outdoor pool in Osler. (when i talk about nice weather, i mean before the thunderstorm!)

Abinet had a great time splashing non-stop! He would climb out of the pool only to turn around and go right back in and splash some more!





Mesele had a great time as well. We all know that he absolutely loves the water and he thinks he can swim. In this picture, he is showing mommy how well he can float! He was so proud of himself but personally, I think he still needs a little bit more practice!








After a little while, both boys seem to round up all the pool noodles, make themselves a little floating device, and take a break from all the sinking and splashing they had been doing.

It's so nice having a pool so close by! Abinet and Mesele love the water and I know that they are looking forward to when Mommy will be taking them to this fun place again!

Bye, Bye, Training Wheels!

Why do my boys have to grow up so fast?

It seemed like just yesterday we were showing Mesele his bike for the first time and he was having trouble keeping his balance with the training wheels on!

Yesterday, Brent took the training wheels off of Mesele's bike. I thought it would still take him quite a while to learn how to keep his balance, but believe it or not.....I was wrong. He figured it all out right away and he has been flying around the yard ever since! He did run into a tree, the fence and the garage, but it only slowed him down temporarily! Mesele LOVES his bike and he's so happy that he can ride like Mommy and Daddy now!

My little Abinet is still learning how to ride his tricycle.
He can't go nearly as fast as Mesele, but he still tours around the yard, gets stuck every now and then, but like Mesele, he doesn't like to ask for help very often.

Both boys are so independant!

If you are ever in the area, I know Mesele and Abinet would love to show you what they are able to do on their bikes! They love to be the centre of attention!! (i have no idea where they get that from......)

Coolin' Off in the Sprinkler!

Wasn't yesterday just a beautiful day?!?!? I went to the city with my boys to visit a friend of mine, and we had a great time letting our kids play together. She had a sprinkler set up at her place, and Mesele and Abinet absolutely loved it! When I left her house I decided I needed to get something like that for my boys. I ran to Wal-Mart and found this neat little toy.






Water comes spraying out of this thing as it spins around and the boys have to use the bat to try and knock off two balls that sit on top of it. I was curious to see if they would like it, so I quickly just stripped them down to thier underwear and let 'em go at it! They had so much fun!!







After getting good and cold they were wrapped tightly in a towel and then cuddled with Daddy for a little while.

They really are the sweetest little boys ever!

Lovin' the Grrrreat Outdoors!

Our boys just love to be outside! When they wake up in the morning, they have a routine of questions and they go in this order...
#1) Mommy......breakfast?
#2) Mommy......get dressed?
#3) Mommy......go outside?

When they finally get to go outside, they entertain eachother so well. They play soccer, ride their bikes, blow bubbles, etc. Then, when daddy comes home, they go flying high in the air! Abinet still isn't sure if he likes flying so high, but he was willing to do it so mommy could take a picture!





Mesele had T-ball yesterday evening so he wanted to do a little practicing at home. Daddy threw him a few good pitches, and you can just see the determination on Mesele's face as he gets ready to hit that ball out of the park!!

I'm so thankful that these two little angels love the outdoors! If you are ever walking by our house when they are outside, be prepared to stop and have a long conversation with them! They love to visit!

I'm Back Home!!

Well, my trip in Alberta is done. I had a great, yet emotional time with my sister. It was so good to spend some time with her just being goofy and also to see my neices and nephews again.

I left her place on Friday morning and the trip home went really well. The boys travelled very well. In fact, they slept a large majority of the way!



When we got home, the boys were so excited to see Daddy! On Saturday morning, they went into our bedroom to wake up daddy. They each found one of his feet and started doing their new favorite game....."This little piggy..." It was so cute! These two little guys sure love their daddy!

Spending Time with Family!

Sorry it has taken me so long to put up some new pictures! I didn't think I could do this when I wasn't at home, but my smart hubby told me how this was possible. SO.....here it goes....

I have been spending the last week with my sister in Alberta. I drove out here with Abinet and Mesele. The trip was "grrreat" and the boys traveled really well. We had a quick lunch on the side of the road and then continued on our way!

My parents were here for the weekend too, so


it was really good for the boys to see grandma and grandpa again too. It was so neat that they remembered who they were because they haven't seen them since March.



My sister is really enjoying having the boys here and she loving the fact that she is the auntie who can spoil these two little guys!


The weather has not been the best, but when

we get a little bit of sunshine, we run outside and play for a little while. Victoria gave the boys a ride on the tractor while she was mowing the lawn and now the boys most definately love her!

(My sister is cracking the whip and wanting me to get to work helping her pack. Maybe I'll be coming home a little sooner than I thought....)

Slip 'n' Slide!

Well, we had to try out another new toy for our boys the other day! We thought we would try the slip and slide.

These boys both love water SOOOOO much, that when they saw this thing there little eyes just lit up!

On Mesele's first ride down the slip n slide, he realized just how cold the water was, and then his little eyes got even bigger!! That didn't stop him for long though! He just shivered a little bit and then went for another run.

Abinet, on the other hand, was a little bit more of a chicken! When his little toe nail touched that cold water, he couldn't stop shivering! In order to get a picture of him, Brent had to throw him down the slide! After one trip down, he was pretty much finished. Oh well, at least we got the picture!
